C.A.S.T. (Coastal/Central Area Staff Training)
C.A.S.T. is comprised of staff development from Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Meetings are facilitated by the Bay Area Academy Southern Training Specialist. C.A.S.T. members meet every other month with the primary purpose of coordinating CORE, advanced and regional trainings specific to their small county needs. Additionally, the team shares county experiences, information and resources.

R.A.P. (Regional Area Professionals)
R.A.P. is comprised of staff development from Sonoma, Solano, Napa, and Marin counties. These meetings are facilitated by the Bay Area Academy Northern Training Specialist. R.A.P. members meet every other month. The purpose is to coordinate multiple county training as well as share county experiences and information.

R.E.T.A.I.N. (Regional Excellence in Training and Intercounty Networking)
R.E.T.A.I.N. is a collaboration between Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Mateo County Staff Development and the Bay Area Academy. The group meets every other month to discuss training needs, Induction and CORE training as well as to brainstorm together about common issues and challenges. The Bay Area Academy also utilizes this opportunity to share any state mandates and hot topics of the year with the group. Big events such as a court summit, educational summit, visitation summit, and PQCR's can also be talked about at these groups.
