This Section describes the services the Bay Area Academy provides to enhance the professional development of staff working in Human Services.

Consultation/Facilitation Services
The Bay Area Academy provides county and other organizations with consultation and facilitation services provided by professional staff. Examples of consultation services include; organizational development, recruitment strategies training development and delivery, and development of training funding resources. Academy staff also provide facilitation services for meetings, planning sessions, discussion groups to assist its customers in effectively developing and utilizing these activities.

Conferences, Summits & Off-Site Strategic Planning Days
The Bay Area Academy develops, plans, and implements professional development through Conferences, Summits and Off-Site Strategic Planning Days. Individual counties have contracted with the Academy to provide one-day planning days for staff that have focused on team building, planning, and recognition events. The Academy has organized and delivered Conferences on Foster Youth Education, The Role of the Public Health Nurse in Public Child Welfare, as well as a state-wide Summit on the Recruitment and Retention of Public Child Welfare Workers.
