The Bay Area Academy has a county-specific contract with the San Mateo County Child Welfare to provide professional development services to the county's public child welfare social workers, public health nurses, foster care providers, and appropriate community service providers working in or with the public child welfare system. The Academy works closely with the Child Welfare training officers to develop trainings and other events specifically designed to meet the needs of the City and County of San Mateo. This project develops learning opportunities that enhance cultural awareness, developed advanced skills for workers and provide resources for new worker training.
