Advanced & "Best Practice" Trainings 

The Bay Area Academy offers advanced and specialized trainings to child welfare staff in the greater Bay Area. Training topics are based on county responses to the annual training needs assessment, to emerging county needs, and to System Improvement Plan (SIP) priorities. The Academy also works in collaboration with counties to identify priorities and emerging practices in the Child Welfare field. All training activities are designed to ensure that workers have the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform their jobs as administrators of the foster care program.
